Simon was born in Sydney, Australia and has been dancing since he was 7. He trained at The Australian Ballet School under a scholarship-grant from the Pratt Foundation. In 2013, he received his Graduate Diploma in Classical Ballet as well as the Murphy Award for Excellence in Contemporary Dance. He joined the Australian Ballet in 2014 where he spent two years performing roles by choreographers Wayne McGregor, Graeme Murphy, Kenneth MacMillian, Simon Dow, Peter Wright, Stanton Welch, Jiří Kylián, Tim Harbour, and others. During his time with Australian Ballet, he toured nationally to some of Australia’s biggest stages, including State Theatre, Melbourne, The Capital Theatre in Sydney, and The Sydney Opera House. In 2016, he worked on a Sydney Dance Company commission by Australian choreographer Antony Hamilton.
